How it works

Recycle Odessa will provide a reusable mesh bag. This bag fits any size between a standard kitchen wastebasket (11 gallons) to a 30 gallon recycling container. On pickup day, you will just remove the mesh bag and leave it on your porch or curb. When the bag is picked up, it will be replaced with an empty bag. This service is $5/per bag/per pick up if they ARE sorted, and $8 if they are NOT sorted.

Pick up days are typically Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, but they will occasionally vary. Once you are signed up, you will receive a weekly text with the available days that week and a link to pay. If you will be ready for pick up on one of those days, just pay for the correct service before midnight the night before pickup. When payment is received, you will automatically be added to the route for that day. All payments will be made on this secure website. There is no minimum frequency and no contract.

We accept:

• cans (aluminum and tin)

• plastic bottles (#1 and #2 plastics only)

• plastic grocery bags (or any bags that say “store drop off”)

• paper, paperboard, and cardboard (Our recycling center does not accept phone books or magazines, so we won’t be able to pick up those items.  If you don’t use a physical phone book, I would encourage you to opt out of receiving them in the future at this website: https://www.yellowpagesoptout.com/
